Una giornata densa di emozioni e di felicità, ricordi e sensazioni uniche...l'inizio della nostra vita a due, atteso con ansia e trepidazione...da allora ci sono stati pochi bassi e tanti alti, ci completiamo a vicenda, abbiamo gusti simili, e non ci annoiamo a passare il nostro tempo insieme. E rivedendo queste foto, mi sembra di essere di nuovo più giovane di 6 anni :) e con qualche chilo in meno...

A day full of emotion and happiness, memories and unique sensations..the beginning of our life together, waited with anxiety and trepidation... since then, we had a lot of beautiful days, we complete each other, never getting annoyed spending our free time together.
Watching these pictures, again I go back in time, it seems to me to be 6 years younger,  ;)

Fine agosto...End of August

siamo agli sgoccioli, anche agosto sta finendo...
Nell'ultima settimana ho patito parecchio il caldo, anche stare sul divano era una sudata...ma poi in men che si dica è tornato il fresco, nonostante le giornate siano ancora soleggiate ed estive :)
Ho ritirato fuori la macchina da cucire, e dopo un'altra lotta sono riuscita a realizzare un sacchettino in stoffa per il bimbo, per l'ospedale (me ne mancano altri da fare, ma cooooon calma)

 ed  un progettino che devo finire, ma che mostrerò a nascita avvenuta. Posso solo mostrare alcuni particolari, ovviamente ho cucito a macchina solo il bordo esterno, i cuoricini e l'uccellino sono cuciti a mano, non sono così esperta da far curve su curve! (ehm ehm a dire il vero nemmeno con la cucitura a mano son molto esperta....)

Poi, visto che ho il dubbio che da quest'inverno non avrò tempo per dedicarmi a nuovi hobbies e tecniche, ho voluto cimentarmi nella pasta di mais...ehm, non ho seguito la ricetta alla lettera, perchè ho voluto tentare con l'olio di semi anzichè comprare direttamente l'olio di glicerina, ed infatti il risultato non è venuto come mi aspettavo, ma non so se è dovuto all'olio...in pratica quando si secca, la pasta mi fa un po' di crepe, magari la lavoro troppo poco all'inizio, o sono troppo lenta nel decorare, o la tempera non è corretta...boh...questi sono i lavoretti migliori che mi sono venuti finora con la prima preparazione... ma non demordo, è rilassante :)

Well, August is going to end...last week there was an hot weather, it was really hard to do anything, even sitting on sofa, but now it's a little bit colder. The days are summer days anyway, with sun shining and a blue sky :)
I've used again my sewing machine, another fight has been done, I ended with couple of works done :)
I've sewed a little bag for my baby, during the days we will be in hospital..I have to sew other bags, one is not enough, but let's take it easy ;)
I sewed something else, the project isn't finished, so I can't show you all of it, just a little shot...I sewed the little bird and the hearts by hand, I'm not so good using my machine on curves (well, not so good sewing by hands too...).

I think that next winter I will be too busy to have free time testing new hobbies, so I prefer trying them now: well, yesterday I tried to prepare the cold porcelain (I think this is the English name), I tried to do some flowers, they are the first experiment but I need to improve myself!

Crocette, regalo e prove di cucina... Cross stitch, gift and cooking experiments

In questi giorni finalmente estivi, tra braciolate, passeggiate e relax, vorrei che il tempo non passasse, è troppo bello questo periodo della mia vita = ho tanto tempo libero per fare quello che mi aggrada (e nonostante tutto mi sembra di non avere abbastanza ore libere mah), il pancione è ancora gestibile (anche se il bimbo è un continuo movimento), la salute è a posto...
Ho finito con largo anticipo il ricamo per il progetto di beneficenza Coppiette del Forum XSP, la scadenza era ottobre, ma l'ho completato prima, così posso dedicarmi ad altri lavoretti a punto croce.
Ecco qui il ricamo finito:

Qualche giorno fa ho partecipato ad un piccolo concorso indetto da Barbara - Fili di parole, occorreva indovinare quali matassine erano state utilizzate per crocettare un segnalibro: con un po' di fortuna sono stata la prima ad indovinare tutti i colori, per cui ho vinto questo segnalibro:

Nelle settimane scorse mi sono cimentata provetta cuoca...no, diciamo che ho sperimentato qualche cosa in cucina (non è la stessa cosa eheheh).
Dato che avevo ricevuto una buona quantità di pere, ho provato a fare il succo, con un pentolone apposito...

Ho provato a fare dei zuccherini fatti in casa... seguendo il post di Robin sono giunta al tutorial di Suze...la "ricetta" è molto semplice, occorre però avere degli stampini adeguati, cosa che io non ho, per cui il mio risultato è stato questo:

These days are summer days: bbq's, relax, walks...I would like to stop this moment for a long time, I'm so happy: I have a lot of time for myself (even it always seems too short), my baby is moving a lot but my belly isn't too big, my health is ok...
I've already ended the cross stitch project on the XSP forum, so I can begin new cross stitch works.
Few days ago I won a little contest on Barbara's blog: with a bit of luck I was the first to guess the colors used to stitch a bookmark: I won it and I found it yesterday in my letter box: thank you Barbara!!

Last weeks I made few cooking experiments...I prepared homemade pear juice (still to taste it, but it looks good).
Following Robin's post I arrived to Suze's blog, finding a tutorial to prepare decorative sugar, but I don't have any nice cookie cutters, but I tried to prepare it anyway.

Now I go to enjoy  the summer day : )

Compleanno maritino...husband's birthday...

Ieri è stato il compleanno del maritino, domani festeggeremo con una braciolata in terrazza tra amici e parenti, ci aspetta una lunga giornata! Ieri sera abbiamo invitato la famiglia del maritino a mangiare una fetta di torta a casa nostra, per cui ho preparato una semplice torta alla frutta, perdonate le foto ma non è la macchina fotografica, è proprio la torta ad essere poco fotogenica! Non sono brava nelle decorazioni...sopratutto quando non ho il materiale giusto, e nemmeno gli ingredienti...ma già ieri ho fatto venti corse, tra la spesa al supermercato del paese (due volte perchè avevo dimenticato lo zucchero e me ne sono accorta in fase di preparazione torta), la ricerca dei frutti di bosco per decorare la torta, la panna che non si montava ma era burro...ma quantomeno la torta è venuta abbastanza buona, e dal vivo era più carina.

Indovinate quanti anni ha compiuto??? :)

Ho pure preparato di corsa un piccolo biglietto da unire al mio regalino per il maritino, non sono stata lì a fare chissà cosa perchè poi sarebbe stato buttato, per cui ho solo preso un paio di carte dei colori preferiti del marito: noooo, non hanno a che fare con una squadra di calcio (leggasi: sì) e vio ho aggiunto un paio di timbrate naturali... Anche questo non è molto fotogenico, ma l'ho preparato di nascosto dal marito, mentre la cena bruciava ah ah ah che giornata!

Yesterday it was my husband's birthday, in the evening we invited his family to have a piece of cake together. I cooked a simple cake with fruits and cream...sorry, the cake wasn't nice enough to have a good picture of it.  Can you understand how old is my husband, watching the pictures? :)
But the cake was quite good, believe me...
In hurry, I prepared a birthday card too, very simple, sorry, even this card is quite bad for a picture!
Tomorrow we are going to have a birthday's BBQ with many friends and relatives, it will be a long long and busy day!

BBQ!

E' agosto, e forse forse finalmente riusciamo ad organizzare un paio di barbeque, meglio tardi che mai!
Domani, tempo permettendo, avremo come ospite una famiglia di danesi, che ha comprato un appartamento nel nostro paese.....sì, paese, con la p minuscola, non maiuscola...
Cosa che devo ancora comprendere: il paesino in cui vivo non è male, a me piace abbastanza...ma sinceramente, uno straniero che si può permettere un appartamento per le vacanze, tra tutti i paesi trentini stupendi che abbiamo, sceglie proprio questo??? E' sicuramente un posto tranquillo, per niente turistico, ma è anche abbastanza scomodo: esistono i servizi di prima necessità, posta, farmacia, negozio di alimentari per intenderci, ma poi non c'è molto altro...nei dintorni abbiamo laghi, piste da sci, funivie, montagne stupende, ma occorre sempre prendere l'automobile per arrivarci (non abbiamo il treno ed i mezzi pubblici sono rari)...per usare la bicicletta occorre essere allenati: non abbiamo una strada piana a morire... il paesaggio è molto bello, ma tanti altri paesi hanno delle visuali anche migliori...boh, non comprendo questa loro scelta, ma da un lato sono contenta, così posso ogni tanto utilizzare l'inglese.
L'inverno scorso siamo stati ospiti nel loro appartamento (arredato in stile danese, ovviamente) per un pranzo tipico di Natale...quest'anno abbiamo pensato di invitarli a casa nostra, per un BBQ tipico estivo...per cui ciccia, ciccia, ciccia! :)
Tanto per non ospitarli con le mani in mano, ho preparato loro dei semplici segnaposto timbrati, ed  un piccolo pensiero: un sacchettino profumabiancheria alla lavanda (così mi sono liberata di un po' di fiorellini secchi ehehe) crocettato in modo da renderlo anche un souvenir del nostro (e anche loro) paese ;-)

Per comprendere lo schema crocettato sui sacchettini, devo precisare che l'attrattiva turistica per cui è conosciuto Segonzano, il paese in cui vivo, è rappresentata dalle Piramidi di Terra...qui alcune foto che ho fatto un paio di anni fa, per rendere l'idea...

We are in August, and maybe now we can have a couple of BBQ during these last weeks of summer (hope for good weather, usually we have rainy week-ends!)... Tomorrow we are going to have as guest  a danish family: they bought an apartment in our town, for their summer and winter holidays. Well, I can not understand why they choose this town: I like it, it's quite nice, but in my region there are so many more beautiful towns than this one...here we have only the main services (post, pharmacy, alimentary shop), nothing else...you can use a bike only if you have good muscles and lungs, we don't have any flat road...in the surroundings we have lakes, ski-centres, wonderful mountains, but all the time we need to use a car, because we are not served by trains and buses are very unfrequent. The landscape is beautiful, even there are many little town with such a panorama. Well, I can not understand why they fell in love with our town, but I'm happy about this, it's a good opportunity to have an English conversation.

Last winter they invited us in their apartment (all their furnitures are from Denmark) to have a typical Christmas dinner. This time we invited them to have a typical BBQ time :-)

I've prepared simple placeholders (made with paper and colored stamps) and I sewed for each guest a little scented bag (with lavender's flowers), that is also a souvenir of our town: it is "famous" for its Pyramids (made of hearth), you can see them in the photos..for more information you can read here, if you like.
